Mr. Deepak Prakash has graduated from the Government Law College, Calicut University, Kerala and enrolled in the year of 1995. He has a multifaceted practice of over 26 years, primarily in litigation, white collar crimes (including EOWs matter, CBI & SFIO) and matters related to Enforcement Directorate. In EOW and ED matters he has vast experience in handling cases from Trial Court to Supreme Court.
As a Founding Member & Managing Partner of M/s Solicitorsindia Law Offices, he has a vast experience of more than a decade in commercial, corporate, labour, banking and arbitration laws. Being the coordinator of Indian Institute of Arbitration and Mediation (IIAM), Delhi Chapter, he is also actively involved in various multinational companies and Government companies regularly. Mr. Deepak Prakash is a member of Supreme Court Bar Association and also associated with other Lawyers’ Associations and bodies.
He has also handled cases related to various multi-national companies and Government Organisations, Banks & NBFC’s, appeared for ICICI Bank in Supreme Court, Various High Courts, National Consumer Dispute Redressal Commission etc., experienced in drafting Writ Petitions, Special Leave Petitions, Original Petitions, Civil Suits and Arbitration Claims and also in negotiation and finalisation of agreements, conducting due diligences, reviewing documentation, employment policies and procedures, corporate governance and the range of other non-litigative services.
On a micro level, he has been providing day-to-day advice to various institutions, banks and financial institutions on issues arising in the ordinary course of conduct of business, employment and discharge of personnel and related issues.
Mr. Deepak Prakash was one of the first Advocates in India who handled one of the biggest cryptocurrency related cases in India, specifically the bitcoin matter, which involves offences arising out of the Indian Penal Code, Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2020 and other similar enactments.
Mr. Prakash was also the first Advocate to get an Order in the infamous Endosulfan ban case from the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India and the Ishrat Jashan Fake encounter case from Gujarat. Mr. Prakash has expertise in dealing with high-profile matters and has appeared for the Former Kerala Chief Minister Shri V.S. Achuthanthan and also extended his services to Former Minister of the State of Kerala Shri. Thomas Chandy.
