Nachiketa Vajpayee

Nachiketa specializes in direct and indirect litigation and arbitration (domestic as well as international), more particularly in matters related to Crypto-currency, NFTs, Privacy and Data, and White-Collar Crimes. He undertakes a range of contentious work on behalf of domestic and foreign corporations as well as individual clients, representing them before various fora.

More recently, he successfully represented numerous clients in separate cases involving the issue of multiple FIRs being registered against the same accused containing similar allegations in multiple States of India (in crypto-currency matters, builder matters, political matters etc.) and successfully secured bails/ anticipatory bails to all such clients while invoking the Writ Jurisdiction of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India under Article 32 of the Indian Constitution. Further, he is also involved in the recently passed landmark judgement concerning the Prevention of Money Laundering Act. 

He is also representing clients before the Hon’ble Supreme Court in matters wherein the privacy policy of WhatsApp is under challenge. Additionally, in view of his duty towards the society, he has filed numerous Public Interest Litigations (PILs) before the Hon’ble High Court of Delhi and the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India, raising therein substantial issues of public importance and secured favourable Orders in most of such PILs. He has a remarkable record in bail/ anticipatory bail matters, while securing around 120 favourable Orders in separate cases from the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India alone, in the last 2 years.

Nachiketa was awarded with his law degree from Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Patiala, Punjab (RGNUL), in 2015. He began his professional journey with Solicitors India Law Offices (Lead by Mr. Deepak Prakash, Advocate-on-Record Firm) (2015-2019) and was leading the team handling various civil and criminal litigation, crypto-currency matters, taxation disputes both Direct and Indirect Tax, Telecom Disputes, Petroleum and Natural Gas Disputes, Regulatory and Policy matters wherein he regularly advised and represented the Aircel, SAIL, ONGC, PGCIL, NTPC, KSRTC, KSCARDB, Union Bank of India, Dena Bank, Daewoo Employees Welfare Forum, Reliance, HDFC Bank, Vodafone, SBI, Tata Tea, Holiday Inn Hotels, HP Computers etc. He was promoted as Associate Partner in the aforementioned AOR Firm in 2018. From 2019-2021, he practiced under the esteemed guidance of Sr. Adv. Krishnan Venugopal, following which he started his independent practice. In July, 2024, he joined SolicitorsIndia Law Offices as Partner- Head Litigation.
